"Charlotte's Web"

Week of January 18-22

Monday:  No School.  No Rehearsal

Tuesday:  First rehearsal!  3-5 p.m.  Wear work clothes.  Come through PAC lobby for check in.   Get script and start highlighting.

Wednesday:  3:-4:50 p.m.  Wear work clothes.  Same.  Keep highlighting

Thursday: 3:00-5:00:  Workday/possible read through

  • Rehearsals will be ON STAGE, starting January 18, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. (unless otherwise notified).   COVID protocols will be in place and used consistently so everyone is safe:
    • You must wear a mask
    • You will sign in and get your temperature taken before entry into the PAC.  If you do not meet the requirements, please stay home and text Mrs. Brant on Remind.
    • You must social distance--please respect that.
    • We cannot meet in person if we do not do these things well!
  • We will film the final production in March.  You will memorize your lines and blocking prior to that. This is NOT a radio play, so we will not use scripts on stage like last time.
  • Rehearsal schedule will be posted weekly.  You need to be at required rehearsals, unless you have a health issue.  Please text Mrs. Brant about absences so she can adjust plans if needed.
  • There will be a small tech crew for this show,  though some will shift between small acting roles and tech roles as needed.  Basically, the entire team will put on the show, with actors and tech working on whatever needs to be done to get 'er ready!
  • For the production, actors will be need to have access to their own make up, as sharing right now is not a good idea.  We will talk about that later.
  • The final production will be streamed virtually (platform TBD)  March 26-28 and April 2-4.   More on that later too!
  • Rehearsals/filming will be finished by March 8 to allow athletes to participate in season three sports.
  • AS for the spring musical, we don't know what we will be allowed to do with singing in the late spring, so we are waiting to make that decision.  It would be during season four of the sports schedule (April-May).  We are hoping to make a musical work at this point, but we just don't know the parameters yet.

Here are two You Tube clips--the first one has puppets, which we are not going to do, but it has great characterization.  The second has the entire play.
