2006-2007:
Fall, 2006: Tales from the Arabian Nights
This time through we had to move out of the classitorium--completely out--due to the renovation of the upper part of the building! Our set stuff went in a storage container in the parking lot, our tools in the faculty room, and our fall play in the commons! Oh, and the Charbonneaus had their first baby during the same time as the production--welcome Andrew!
Spring, 2007: Beauty and the Beast
Following being out of the auditorium most of the school year, we decided to do the first show in the new Performing Arts Center (PAC) as the Disney favorite! This took amazing amounts of work: Charb and tech built the two story set in the ag shop, Mrs. Geffe spent hours designing all the speciality costumes, we worked songs and dances in the commons, the directors watched (and peeked) at the progress with construction and then kept looking at the calendar https://www.locksmithspros.com/car. When it was all done, we had one week to move the set, costumes, props, learn the new lighting and sound systems and rehearse twice before we opened!!! The directors practically spent their nights there! Conclusion? The best selling show we have ever done!
2007-2008:
Fall, 2007: The Matchmaker by Thornton Wilder
Our first play using an online ticketing system (www.vendini.com), this classic comedy was worth a second look!
Winter, 2008: Alice in Wonderland (short touring version)--Drama 2 class for HES
Spring, 2008: Annie
This favorite found us growing into our new digs and using the space effectively. We had lots of fun building a mansion that turned into an orphanage, playing orphans, crooks, millionaires and even presidents, and watching Nyna Nelson go from a long haired blonde to a red head temporarily for her role as Annie!
